Above the fireplace
The spot every guest looks at first.
The wall over the fireplace is the one place in the house where small art looks wrong. That's a real photo of ours above — one 40″ × 60″ canvas of a family beach trip over a stone mantel. It's the first thing you see when you walk in, and it's why we only make big canvases.

Good questions, honest answers
What size art goes above a fireplace?
About two-thirds the width of the mantel. For a 72″ fireplace, 40″ × 60″ is ideal; 44″ × 60″ for a wider hearth. Leave 4–8 inches between the mantel shelf and the canvas.
Is canvas safe above a fireplace?
Yes, with a normal mantel between them — the mantel deflects heat. Like any art, keep it out of direct sunlight for the longest life.
One canvas or three?
One big canvas is the calmer, more classic look. The Mantel Trio is for a wider wall, or when you have three photos that belong together.
How do I hang something that big?
Two picture hooks on the pre-installed sawtooth hangers. The canvas is only a few pounds.
